+From Singapore in ’73 with love…
This year marks 50 years of the Tudor chronograph, you can read our story . This is an insanely nice example of Tudor’s first chronograph, known by its collector nickname The Homeplate, due to the hour markers that are shaped like the homebase on a baseball field.
This watch is fitted with its original steel tachymeter bezel, which still has its circulair brushed finish. The watch also retains its early screw-down pushers!, a rare find! The case, including lugs and crown guards is in excellent condition, please take a look at the pictures! The dial is also flawless. This is a very special watch indeed!
Could it get any better? How about the original box and papers – what a great collector set! This complete set comes with rare inner and outer boxes, papers (stating it was sold in Singapore in 1973), booklet and wallet. The folded link Oyster bracelet reference 7836 is in great condition and is fitted with ref 380 endlinks. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker. Buy this watch and hit your own home-run!
