The Collector Set Box and Papers 5513

The ‘non-serif’ 5513 dial was the first of the feet-first matte dials and the Submariner we are offering today has such a dial in great condition dial with nice creamy hour plots that match the hands. The fat font bezel insert is in really great original condition too. The folded-link Oyster bracelet has a rare flip-lock clasp with dive extension stamped ‘PATETED’ – one of the only times Rolex misspelt or included a typo on their products. It is quite rare to find one of these clasps. This one is stamped ‘2-70’ stamped clasp and is fitted with the correct reference 280 endlinks. This 5513 is accompanied by its original accessories including both inner and outer boxes, calendar card, and guarantee paper, which confirms that the watch was sold in Hong Kong in 1971. The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
